Dani has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy from Columbia College Chicago. Dani previously worked at the Renfrew Center, a premier Eating Disorder higher level of care treatment center in Chicago. Whilst there, Dani worked as a therapist in PHP and IOP levels of care, treating clients ages 12+ with eating disorders and related mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Dani utilized Renfrew’s Unified Treatment Model, an empirically supported, trans- diagnostic, treatment approach to treat clients through the use of individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

Dani values a strong therapeutic relationship where clients will also learn and practice a wide variety of skills to help them function more effectively, and to ultimately create more meaningful and fulfilling lives. Dani is also able to integrate her creative work and dance/movement therapy background with her training in evidenced-based treatment modalities to help empower clients to find their own unique paths to recovery.

A note from Dani

I am one of the lucky ones who can genuinely say I do what I love and what I do.  I became both a mental health counselor and dance/movement therapist to combine my passion for helping others and love for movement into a powerful healing modality. There is nothing more fulfilling than being able to utilize my expertise to help others live more meaningful lives. My therapy style could best be described as warm, authentic, skill focused, and creative. I personalize each session and experiential to the unique goals and needs of each client. Sessions with me will be full of emotion: you will laugh, you will cry, and most importantly you will grow. In my spare time I teach yoga strength classes at Yoga2.0, spend lots of time with my family and friends, and explore new ways of continuing to learn and evolve myself as a therapist, yogi, and human!

While her office is located in downtown Chicago next to Millenium park for in-person sessions, she also welcomes and serves clients for online therapy from anywhere in Illinois.
