A note from Daniella:

I want everyone to feel heard and seen. Change is scary. Uncertainty is scary. But they can also be important for personal growth. I have always felt therapy is displaying patience, compassion, empathy and empowerment. I aim to bring these qualities to all my sessions as well as incorporating light-hearted humor, which can go a long way. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, traveling... and talking.

Daniella received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from DePaul University and Master’s Degree in Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago. Daniella interned for ChildServ, a foster care agency in Chicago and Advocate Illinois Masonic Behavioral Health, providing individual outpatient support. She now holds her LCSW and specializes working with adolescents and adults.

Daniella believes in individualized care and supporting the uniqueness of the individual. She roots her practices in evidenced-based techniques such as DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention). She utilizes these modalities to create treatment goals, plans and to best support the client in their personal development. Daniella also engages clients in motivational interviewing and solution-focused practices to increase satisfied living and meaningful change towards personal treatment goals.

Before pursing private practice, Daniella worked at Compass Health Center in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program. During this time, she worked with adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior, and suicidality providing both individual and group therapy. She also worked in the OCD/Complex Anxiety Program at Compass Health Center facilitating exposures with adolescents struggling with diagnoses related.
