A note from Ashley:

I decided to become an Art Therapist and Therapist because I have always enjoyed helping others and hearing their stories.  Therapy is hard, and it can also be rewarding. I hope by building that therapeutic relationships with my clients we can explore together, ways to decrease the “struggle”, increase your ability to cope, learn, and process how to manage whatever life throws your way. My goal for you is for you to learn about yourself, identify goals, work towards behaviors you want to change, and increase your self-compassion and awareness to your body, mind and self. I am interested, passionate, and enthusiastic in the work that I do. And that passion and drive is fostered by my own cultural background. As a woman of color, I empathize and understand the value of being seen and heard in spaces. I am passionate about hearing your story; and I am honored to have the opportunity to hold space for those who struggle to find space for themselves. I hope to meet you, hear you, and learn your story.

Ashley’s therapeutic style is collaborative and person-centered, using a combination of art therapy, existential therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy, through a multicultural and trauma informed lens. Ashley specializes in anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, depression, general life stressors, and life transitions.

While her office is located in downtown Chicago next to Millenium park for in-person sessions, she also welcomes and serves clients for online therapy from anywhere in Illinois. Clients from the Chicagoland area may choose in-office or online therapy and usually commute from surrounding areas such as River North, South Loop, West Loop, Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown and many more.
