Bridget has her MSW from New York University and has worked in a variety of treatment settings in Boston, New York City and Chicago. She started at McLean Hospital in Boston in their Intensive DBT Program, where she worked with adolescents struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder and chronic self-harm and suicidal ideation. Bridget then worked with children, adolescents and families in the Bronx at Astor Services in their school and outpatient clinics, while also seeing adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders at Metro Behavioral Health Associates in Manhattan. Since returning to Chicago, Bridget has worked at the Eating Recovery Center with patients struggling with Binge Eating Disorder in their residential, partial-hospital and intensive outpatient programs.

Bridget collaborates with clients of all races, sizes, genders, ethnicities, abilities and orientations to reach their personal therapeutic goals. She creates a safe and supportive space that allows clients to explore their own behavior patterns and connect with their values. Bridget utilizes a non-judgmental and strengths-based approach and incorporates the following evidence-based treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

A note from Bridget:

I decided to become a therapist because I wanted to give people a space to feel heard, supported and validated. For many, therapy is a time when they can work through their thoughts, feelings and behaviors free of judgment or shame. It is a privilege to be a part of that process and to aid individuals in developing their own self awareness. I hope to support my clients in connecting with their personal values and finding fulfillment in their lives. My therapeutic style could be described as warm, authentic and nonjudgmental. In my free time I enjoy running on the lakefront path, watching standup comedy and spending time with my friends and family.

While her office is located in downtown Chicago next to Millenium park for in-person sessions, she also welcomes and serves clients for online therapy from anywhere in Illinois. Clients from the Chicagoland area may choose in-office or online therapy and usually commute from surrounding areas such as River North, South Loop, West Loop, Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown and many more.
