A note from Bari:

Deciding to pursue therapy as a career was actually one of the easiest “big decisions” I’ve ever had to make. It allowed for the opportunity to combine several of my interests and passions: supporting others, fostering deep connections, cultivating curiosity, and empowering growth and change. It is a consistently humbling experience to be entrusted with people’s thoughts, feelings, struggles, and fears. It’s a privilege to bear witness and provide validation, support and feedback in return. My personal therapy style could be described as authentic, relational, and transparent. I am one to meet my clients where they are at and learn about where they want to go. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, snuggling with my kitty, traveling, and trying new restaurants!

Bari received her MSW from Loyola University Chicago and now holds an LCSW and CADC. She has worked with various client populations as a result of her experience at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and Eating Recovery Center, where she worked in both clinical and managerial roles.

Additionally, Bari provides formal addiction assessments. This service is for clients of Cityscape whom require further assessment to determine whether criteria for an addiction diagnosis is met and/or whether more intensive treatment and support is required beyond outpatient therapy.

While her office is located in downtown Chicago next to Millenium park for in-person sessions, she also welcomes and serves clients for online therapy from anywhere in Illinois. Clients from the Chicagoland area may choose in-office or online therapy and usually commute from surrounding areas such as River North, South Loop, West Loop, Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown and many more.
